Excellent Features of Our Energy-Efficient Windows & Doors

Our products incorporate industry-leading materials and structural designs to minimize energy loss and maximize long-term sustainability for your buildings.

01
Advanced Thermal Break Technology
Our energy-efficient aluminum frames feature wider polyamide (PA66) thermal break strips. This crucial insulating barrier separates the interior and exterior metal profiles, drastically reducing thermal conduction and energy loss.
02
High-Performance Glass Packages
Glass makes up the majority of any window. We offer customizable insulating glass units (IGUs) including double or triple glazing, advanced Low-E (low-emissivity) coatings, and argon or krypton gas fills to reflect heat back to its source.
03
Superior Air & Water Tightness
Energy efficiency isn't just about glass; it's about stopping drafts. We utilize multi-chamber frame designs, overlapping sealing structures, and automotive-grade EPDM gaskets to ensure superior air infiltration and water resistance ratings.
04
Warm-Edge Spacer Systems
Instead of traditional highly conductive aluminum spacers, we utilize advanced non-metallic or composite warm-edge spacers between glass panes. This reduces heat transfer at the edges of the glass, significantly lowering the risk of interior condensation.
05
Optimized SHGC for Your Climate
Whether your project needs to block intense summer heat (low Solar Heat Gain Coefficient) or harness winter sun for passive heating (high SHGC), we tailor the glass coatings specifically to your project's climate zone and orientation.
06
Sustainable & Durable Construction
Beyond energy savings, our materials are highly sustainable. Aluminum and UPVC are recyclable, and our corrosion-resistant finishes ensure that the windows maintain their structural integrity and energy performance for decades, reducing replacement waste.

Tailored Insulation Solutions for Every Climate Zone

At Hotian, we know that an energy-efficient window in snowy Canada requires a completely different specification than one in the sunny Middle East. We tailor our window and door solutions based on your specific project location, climate challenges, and local building regulations. By adjusting the frame depth, thermal break width, glass thickness, and specific Low-E coatings, our engineering team optimizes the U-value and SHGC to meet your precise energy targets without overspending your budget.

For architects, developers, and contractors, proving compliance is just as important as the product itself. Before production begins, we can provide detailed cross-section drawings, material data sheets, and performance simulations to help your project secure local building approvals and energy certifications. From luxury passive homes to large-scale commercial retrofits, we deliver the technical support and manufacturing precision you need to build greener, more efficient structures.

Experience the perfect balance of thermal performance, aesthetic design, and cost-efficiency with Hotian's tailored energy solutions.

What makes a window or door "energy efficient"?

Energy efficiency is achieved through a combination of thermally broken frames (in aluminum), multi-chamber profiles (in UPVC), multiple panes of glass (double or triple), Low-E coatings, insulating gas fills (like argon), and high-quality weather sealing to prevent heat transfer and drafts.

What is a thermal break and why is it important?

Aluminum is a great conductor of heat. A thermal break is a continuous barrier of a non-conductive material (like polyamide PA66) positioned between the inside and outside of the window frame. It prevents outside cold or heat from traveling through the frame into the building.

Can your products meet NFRC or CE energy standards?

Yes. Our engineering team designs products and selects glass configurations specifically to help your projects comply with strict international standards, including NFRC ratings in North America and CE marking requirements in Europe.

What is Low-E glass?

Low-Emissivity (Low-E) glass has a microscopic, transparent coating that reflects infrared energy (heat). In winter, it reflects interior heat back into the room. In summer, it reflects solar heat away from the building, significantly reducing heating and cooling costs.

Are UPVC or aluminum windows better for insulation?

UPVC is naturally a poor conductor of heat, making it highly energy efficient by default through its multi-chamber design. However, our thermally broken aluminum windows offer comparable energy performance while providing superior structural strength for larger openings and commercial designs.

What is the difference between U-Value and SHGC?

U-Value measures how well a window prevents non-solar heat from escaping or entering a building (lower is better for insulation). SHGC (Solar Heat Gain Coefficient) measures how much solar radiation passes through the glass (lower is better for keeping buildings cool in hot climates).

Do you offer triple glazing for extremely cold climates?

Yes. For projects in severe winter climates or those aiming for Passive House standards, we highly recommend our triple-glazed units. They provide two insulating air/argon cavities and allow for multiple Low-E coatings for ultimate thermal protection.

Do energy-efficient windows also help with soundproofing?

Absolutely. The same features that make a window energy efficient—multiple glass panes, thick glass, argon gas, and airtight EPDM gaskets—also significantly reduce sound transmission, making your interiors quieter.

What is a warm-edge spacer?

Standard windows use aluminum spacers between the glass panes, which conduct heat and cause condensation at the glass edges. Warm-edge spacers are made of low-conductivity materials (like composite plastics) that keep the edges of the glass warmer and improve the overall U-value.

Can I customize the energy performance for different facades of the same building?

Yes. This is a common strategy in commercial building. You can specify a lower SHGC for south/west-facing windows to block harsh afternoon sun, and a higher SHGC for north-facing windows to maximize natural light, all while keeping the frame appearance identical.
